Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for providing digital sheet music using a digital music file, which enables a user to easily recognize an instrument playing method using a digital music file. The apparatus and method for providing digital sheet music using a digital music file according to the present invention creates a MIDI file including playing information for each instrument, creates on/off information on playing sounds corresponding to notes of the MIDI file, and creates digital sheet music information including note information corresponding to the playing sounds on the basis of the MIDI file and the playing sound on/off information.
