Abstract

The present invention relates to providing dose measurement in X-ray imaging. In order to provide dose measurement in X-ray imaging requiring minimized constructional space, an X-ray detection arrangement (12) for an X-ray imaging system comprises an imaging detector device (28) with a detector panel (30) for providing image data of an object, the detector panel comprising at least one detector element, a dose measurement device (32) and a housing structure (34). The detector device is arranged inside the housing structure, wherein a cover arrangement (36) is provided, which mechanically protects the detector device. The dose measurement device comprises an ionization chamber (38), in which a solid state material (40) is provided between two conducting electrode layers (42, 44), wherein the solid state material acts as a photodiode. The dose measurement device is embedded into the cover arrangement.
