Abstract
Description
Schraubverschluss mit Garantieband Screw cap with guarantee band
The present invention relates to a screw cap consisting of a spout with an external thread and at least one retaining element and a screw cap with a shell wall with internal thread, which meshes with the external thread of the spout and aligned over predetermined breaking points, arranged under the jacket wall of the screw cap guarantee strip, which with the at least one retaining element on the spout cooperates.
By means of the guarantee band should be recognizable that the contents of a container, which is closed with the corresponding screw cap, is intact. Accordingly, it is often spoken of an opening guarantee. Screw caps of this type have been known for many years. Just as long, however, the problem is known that these guarantee bands already during demoulding from the injection mold or in the subsequent
- l - Assembly of the screw cap on the spout to be destroyed. The main problem is that the connection of the guarantee strip with the jacket wall of the screw cap on very fragile predetermined breaking bridges. To solve this problem, a variety of solutions have been proposed. Firstly, the predetermined breaking point bridges were designed to be much wider than thick, so that they have the form of ribbons, and further increases were applied to the guarantee strip to absorb the compressive forces when placing the screw cap to avoid squeezing the predetermined breaking bridges. In this regard, reference is made, for example, to US Pat. No. 4,572,387 A.
Also, systems in which on the guarantee strip and the spout radially outward and inwardly directed elements are present, the ratchet slide over each other, are known. However, these systems have not solved the problem, and just the systems that work with a ratchet-like element lead to particularly frequent destruction of the predetermined breaking point bridges.
In the known plastic screw caps with a guarantee strip, the guarantee strip has an annular holding bead which engages behind a corresponding holding bead or an annular groove on the spout part. When placing such screw caps, the screw cap is aligned with the guarantee band over the spout, and then axially moved downward, wherein the internal thread of the screw cap on the external thread of the spout slides over each other in a ratchet-like manner. Here, the guarantee strip is widened by the thickness of the retaining bead, with relatively high forces are required. In this activity, the predetermined breaking point bridges are on the one hand compressed and on the other hand displaced radially outward by the expansion. Here it often happens that part of the predetermined breaking point bridges is destroyed. Accordingly, this must be monitored to remove reject production from the line.
Also in the production of such screw caps with guarantee band there is destruction of the predetermined breaking point bridges. The retaining bead must be pulled out of the corresponding groove of the injection mold core, and here the predetermined breaking point bridges are stretched accordingly. Here, too, destruction of the predetermined breaking point bridges can take place.
In the predetermined breaking point bridges, which are designed to be extremely thin, an alignment of the molecules takes place, and correspondingly the tensile strength of these predetermined breaking point bridges increases. In the previously known solutions all predetermined breaking points bridges stretched at the same time and accordingly the forces are large. This problem has been recognized and a corresponding solution to this problem is apparent from WO 02/102678. Here, the guarantee strip is arranged conically outwardly inclined extending under the jacket wall of the cap and recesses are arranged between the predetermined breaking point bridges. On the spout, one or more cutting edges are mounted, which protrude outwardly in the assembled state between the predetermined breaking point bridges and when turning off the screw cap, the predetermined breaking points are sheared off one after the other. This solution has not yet prevailed on the market, since the conically outwardly protruding guarantee strip in the respective filling systems causes problems and here, too, the retaining elements on the spout when placing the screw an elongation of the guarantee strip in the area near the
Predetermined breaking point bridges conditionally. Accordingly, predetermined breaking point bridges have already been destroyed during assembly here.
It is now the object of the present invention to provide a solution in which the aforementioned problems can be largely avoided. This object is achieved by a screw cap of the type mentioned in that three to five radially outwardly directed retaining elements in the form of Posts are arranged, which at least in the twisting direction to the installation coming retaining surfaces which cooperate with arranged on the guarantee strip abutment surfaces, wherein the guarantee strip, in which abutment surfaces adjacent area each has a cross section of the guarantee strip reducing bending zone, and further that the predetermined breaking bridges as far as The bending zones are arranged away that here no relative displacement occurs during the deformation of the guarantee strip.

The inventive screw cap, which is generally designated 1, consists of two separately manufactured parts which are shown here in the assembled state. This is on the one hand the spout or spout 2 and on the other the screw cap 3, which is connected to a guarantee strip 4. The spout or spout is shown here as a separate part with a terminal flange 22, as it is for example applied to a liquid packaging made of a multilayer film produced packaging or on a tubular bag of pure Plastic film can be welded. The spout or spout 2 may also be part of a plastic bottle, the spout practically corresponds to the bottleneck. The spout 2 consists of a cylindrical tube section 20 which is provided with an external thread 21. At the lower end of this cylindrical pipe section of the terminal flange 22 is formed. This flange is used for adhesive bonding or welding connection with the appropriate container. Furthermore, it can be seen that shortly above this terminal flange 22 integrally formed thereon is a circumferential collar 23. At this circumferential collar radially outwardly projecting retaining elements 24 are formed, which here have the form of posts. In the dargstellten example, the screw cap 1 is equipped with four such retaining elements or posts 24. The number of these posts 24 is preferably chosen between 3 and 5. If the number is smaller, then the guarantee strip may change too large in shape during assembly, so that the security that the predetermined breaking bridges will no longer be damaged during In the case of a number of bridges over 5, the deformability of the guarantee strip is too severely restricted and, in turn, there is likewise the risk that the predetermined breaking point bridges break during assembly. In FIG. 3, the guarantee strip according to the invention is shown in FIG. 3a once from the outside and in FIG. 3b from the inside, both times in unwinding. The guarantee strip 4 is connected to the screw cap 3 only via the predetermined breaking point bridges 40. The guarantee strip itself has sections of different heights. While the lower edge 41 extends in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the screw cap 1, the upper edge 42 extends at three different heights. The sections with the lowest height form the so-called bending zones 43. The areas with the greatest height form the support zones 44. Finally, the sections 45 are zones in which the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 are arranged. Furthermore, visible in the figure 3b and in Figure 3 dashed lines laterally and directly thereafter at the respective bending zone 43 radially inwardly directed walls 46, which are designed as abutment surfaces and between those in the guarantee position before the first opening the posts or retaining elements 24th lie. These walls 46 serve as abutment surfaces for the posts and are mainly provided because the guarantee strip is made extremely thin. If the wall of the guarantee strip 4 is made thicker except in the bending zones 43, these radially inwardly directed walls 46 are unnecessary. However, these optionally inwardly directed walls 46 are advantageous because the corresponding posts 24 can be made correspondingly shorter and thus do not have to protrude outside the contour of the guarantee strip 4. This can be seen most clearly in the figure 5. In this figure, it is also seen that the outer end face 47 of the posts 24 on the one hand from the inside to the outside and from top to bottom inclined or curved. This design is therefore chosen so that when placing the screw cap 3, in which the internal thread of the screw cap and the external thread of the spout are ratchet-like pushed over each other, the guarantee strip 4 does not hit the post.
As already mentioned, the height of the wall of the guarantee strip is designed differently high in the guide shape shown here, and so the various zones are formed. But it is also quite possible in addition to these differences in height to make the guarantee strip 4 so that the strip thickness in the region of the bending zone 43 is substantially thinner than in the other zones. With regard to the effect of this design, reference is now made to FIG. This illustration shows the guarantee strip 4 in its maximum deformation during placement of the screw cap on the spout 2. The post 24, which can not be seen here, now push the guarantee strip 4 outwards in the region of the bending zones 43. As a result, the guarantee strip 4, if four posts are present as shown here, approximately square deformed. During this deformation, therefore, the corners protrude outwards while each of the central distance respectively be stretched straight between two adjacent bending zones, whereby the guarantee strip 4 to the left and right of these bending zones 43 practically the circumference of the jacket wall 30 of the screw cap 3 crosses. These crossing points now define the location at which the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 are arranged. In this area, there is virtually no translational relative movement between the guarantee strip 4 and the screw cap 3. Once the warranty strip is passed over these posts 24 away, the guarantee strip is formed back to its original shape. The dargstellte in the figure deformation is of course exaggerated. The occurring effect is, however, reproduced correctly. When placing the screw cap 3, it may also happen that the guarantee strip comes into contact with the terminal flange 22 or with the shoulder of the bottle, if the spout is directly part of a bottle. In this case, a certain shortening of the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 takes place. The raised support zones 44 thereby ensure that the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 are not completely compressed and thereby buckle. This effect can be additionally reduced by making the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 longer than the distance between the upper edge of the guarantee strip section with the maximum height 44 and the lower edge of the screw cap 3. There are in particular two variants already known in the prior art, namely on the one hand by arranging the guarantee strips inclined extending, as shown in the figure 3a and b right of the bending zone. A second variant consists in designing the predetermined breaking point bridges 40 slightly curved inwards.
As already mentioned, the spout 2 can form the bottleneck of a plastic bottle and in this case the posts 24 are formed on this bottleneck. In the drawing, however, only solutions are shown in which the spout 2 is provided with a flange 22 for welding or gluing with a flexible container and in this case, the aforementioned posts 24 are formed on this spout or spout, as is particularly clear from the Figure 5 can be seen.
