Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un appareil respiratoire qui comprend un logement (6) qui loge des cylindres (8) contenant du gaz respirable sous pression. Lors de l'utilisation, le logement (6) est porté sur le dos d'un utilisateur et un gaz provenant des cylindres (8) est fourni à l'utilisateur, par exemple par l'intermédiaire d'une cagoule, au moyen d'un tuyau (42). Une unité de stockage auxiliaire (24), comprenant un cylindre auxiliaire (28), est ajustée de façon amovible sur le logement (6) à un emplacement d'arrimage (14). L'unité de stockage auxiliaire (24) peut être facilement détachée de l'emplacement d'arrimage (14) afin d'être utilisée par l'utilisateur de l'appareil respiratoire, ou par une autre personne. L'unité de stockage auxiliaire (24), lorsqu'elle est ajustée sur l'emplacement d'arrimage (14), forme une unité intégrée avec le logement (6).
