Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of mobile multimedia communications, and in particular, to a method and system for a network element to acquire reception status information of a user equipment. Background technique
- the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3rd Generation Partnership Project proposes Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS), which is a data source from multiple sources to multiple targets.
- MBMS Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service
- the technology for transmitting data by the mobile terminal realizes the sharing of network resources (including the core network and the access network), and improves the utilization of network resources (especially air interface resources).
- MBMS defined by 3GPP can not only realize plain text low-rate message broadcast and multicast, but also enable high-speed multimedia service broadcast and multicast, providing a variety of rich video, audio and multimedia services, which undoubtedly conforms to future mobile
- the trend of data development provides a better business prospect for the development of 3G.
- MBMS technology has been introduced in the R9 version of LTE and has been implemented in the R10 version. Strong.
- the control plane and the user plane of the MBMS in LTE are separated, the control plane transmits the control signaling of the MBMS, and the user plane transmits the data of the MBMS.
- the evolved base station (eNB, evolved Node B) (hereinafter referred to as the base station) transmits the MBMS control information to the user equipment (UE, User Equipment) through the Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH, Broadcast Control Channel), and the UE according to the MBMS control information received from the BCCH in the MBMS
- the configuration information of the MBMS is received on the control channel (MCCH, Multicast Control Channel), and then the UE can read the MBMS sent by the base station from the MBMS Traffic Channel (MTCH) according to the MBMS configuration information on the MCCH.
- the MCCH and MTCH are finally multiplexed onto a Multicast Channel (MCH, Multicast Channel) for point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmission.
- the scheduling period of the MCH is at least 80 ms, and is transmitted in the form of an MBMS Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) subframe.
- the UE or the terminal that receives the MBMS may be in two states, one state is a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection state (referred to as a connected state), and the other is an RRC idle state (referred to as an idle state).
- RRC Radio Resource Control
- the UE receives the unicast service the UE is in the connected state, and the UE in the idle state does not establish an RRC connection with the network side, and the UE in the connected state establishes an RRC connection with the network side.
- the base station will configure a measurement gap for the UE, the measurement interval is 6ms in length and the period is 80ms.
- FIG. 1 is a measurement interval in the prior art. Schematic diagram of the distribution of MBSFN subframes, as shown in FIG. 1, the shaded hatching indicates MBSFN radio frames, the grid shading indicates MBSFN radio subframes, and radio frame 2 and radio frame 4 are MBSFN radio frames, where, in radio frame #2 A total of 10 subframes from 0 to 9 are included, and subframe 1, subframe 3, subframe 5, and subframe 6 are MBSFN subframes for transmitting MBMS services.
- the measurement interval may be configured to the radio frame for transmitting the MBMS.
- the base station will have subframe 0 After a total of 6 subframes are allocated to the measurement interval of the UE, the UE cannot receive the MBMS on the subframe 1, the subframe 3, and the subframe 5.
- the default measurement interval has a higher priority than the MBMS, because the base station First make sure that the unicast service is not affected). Therefore, the base station must know the reception status of the MBMS of the UE, and ensure that the UE receives the MBMS in the measurement interval, and avoid conflicts between the two.
- the handover of the UE in the connected state is controlled by the base station.
- the current handover principle is: The base station controls the UE measurement, and then comprehensively considers the signal quality and service load of the neighboring cell according to the measurement result of the UE, and switches the UE to a suitable cell.
- the base station does not know the UE's reception status to the MBMS. Therefore, the cell selected by the base station for the UE may not be able to provide the MBMS that the UE is receiving.
- the UE When the UE is handed over by the base station to a cell that cannot provide MBMS, the UE will not be able to continue receiving the MBMS. Therefore, the continuity of the UE receiving the MBMS cannot be guaranteed, and the UE user experience will be greatly affected.
- the base station does not know the current MBMS reception status of the UE, and may configure the measurement interval on the subframe in which the MBMS service is being sent, so that the UE receives the The MBMS is interrupted.
- the base station does not know the current MBMS reception status of the UE, and cannot ensure that the UE that is receiving the MBMS preferentially switches to the cell that is transmitting the service, so that the UE The continuity of receiving MBMS is not well guaranteed.
- the base station can know the current MBMS reception status information of the UE as soon as possible, so that when the measurement interval is configured for the UE and the target cell is determined, the UE can currently receive the reception.
- MBMS try to ensure continuous reception of the MBMS by the UE to improve the continuity of the MBMS and the user experience of the UE. Summary of the invention
