Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion containing, in a cosmetically acceptable medium: a) an anhydrous phase comprising at least one polar oil; b) at least composite particles with a mean size of between 0.1 and 30 µm, comprising a matrix and an inorganic UV-screening agent, the said inorganic screening agent being present in a content ranging from 1% to 70% by weight relative to the total weight of the composite particle, c) at least non-spherical particles that do not screen out UV radiation, chosen from aluminas, silicas, talcs, micas and nacres, and mixtures thereof.
