Similar connection types, or a plain cap connector, may be used for the caps that will be fit to the openings 10, 11 during manufacture. Thus, in use, a wearer can simply remove the appropriate caps and mount any number of filters together as desired. .

  • the disclosed radial flow design provides enhanced performance as compared to traditional axial flow cylindrical filter designs because the disclosed radial flow design provides a more evenly-distributed air flow through the filter.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une conception de cartouche de filtre empilable. La cartouche peut être constituée d'unités de filtre multiples, chacune ayant une unité de sorbant en forme d'anneau concentrique et/ou une unité particulaire concentrique. L'extérieur de l'unité de filtre de forme cylindrique a des ouvertures multiples servant d'entrée ou de sortie de filtre, et un passage interne servant de sortie ou d'entrée respective de filtre. L'unité de passage interne de chaque filtre peut être raccordée à un passage interne d'une ou deux unités de filtre adjacentes, de manière à former un filtre intégré plus grand pour produire une meilleure durée de vie utile et une diminution de pression respiratoire plus faible. De plus, les deux surfaces d'extrémité du filtre de forme cylindrique peuvent être amenées à se conformer à la forme ergonomique de l'utilisateur pour produire un confort de port ou une commodité de l'utilisateur améliorés. La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé de fabrication de la cartouche de filtre empilable décrite.
