Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a waste vegetable oil-based biomass elastomer, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing a biomass elastomer comprising: a step (step 1) of modifying the end of polybutadiene with a functional group; a step (step 2) of refining waste vegetable-oil so as to obtain fatty acids; and a step (step 3) of polymerizing the polybutadiene, the end of which is modified with the functional group in step 1, with the fatty acids from the waste vegetable-oil so as to produce a biomass elastomer. The waste vegetable oil-based biomass elastomer of the present invention uses biomass, which is a renewable organic resource, and polybutadiene, wherein the end of the polybutadiene is modified with a functional group, thus producing a material having superior critical performance and low environmental impact. Therefore, the waste vegetable oil-based biomass elastomer of the present invention may be widelyused in a variety of industries such as medicine, shoe materials, materials for vehicle parts, and materials for electrical or electronic components.
