Description

Description of a PATENT FOR INVENTION, having as title: A HAIR CONNECTOR FOR RAPID AUTOMATIC THICKENING AND EXTENSION OF HAIR BY GLUING OF LOOSE CUT HAIR.
TECHNICAL FIELD
The object of the present PATENT FOR INVENTION is constituted by an element of various material, shape, section, length, profile, with grooves and grips suitable for use, chemically inert or made so, with the type of glue used, exhibiting exceptional qualities of practicalness, rapidity and precision in holding, positioning, connecting and gluing rapidly, precisely, stably and cleanly, loose cut hair, to head hair in order to thicken and extend it, obtaining a natural result without use of further mechanical instruments, also using single loose cut and untidy hairs, freeing the operator from the step of staying in contact with the surfaces during the stage of drying, realising more locks automatically, all identical, even comprising very few hairs, saving time and rendering a technical and aesthetic quality which was unattainable before without using the invention.
BACKGROUND ART
The great difficulty of handling loose cut hair and glues, and the long times required for thickening hair are well known. For this reason the methods at present in use for thickening and extending using glue are made with application of cut hairs organised into ready-made locks, obtained by connecting them to one another using glues, resins, in various ways on the cut side, with the pre-packed locks being applied to the head hair with complex and dedicated tools, such as welding pincers for the glue using heat, ultrasounds, ultaviolet light and other systems, all requiring long working times and special skills on the part of the operator, who is forced to hold the pincers in operating position up to when the glue has dried.
These systems give aesthetically unsatisfactory results; the connections are considerable and not homogeneous, the locks are made one at a time, and are large, imprecise, and loose hair with mixed colours cannot be applied for invisible thickening.
Even technically these systems give no guarantee of holding for various reasons, one of which is that the packs do not bear the production date and therefore a long time can pass from production to application of the locks, with consequent ageing processes of the glue and resins, which can be accelerated by poor conservation conditions. Further, drying time of the glue is not constant, not even in optimal working conditions, as it depends on various factors and the operator has no way of verifying that drying has in fact been completed before passing on to another lock. Reliability can be had by keeping the surfaces to be glued together for double the average drying time, which is a complicated procedure as well as being very expensive and only theoretically practicable.
For this reason the work is performed by expert personnel, realising a few large locks instead of many small locks, as would be required for aesthetic and technical reasons, thus highlighting the limitations of the tools at present on the market. The use of preformed locks and consequent dedicated application systems do not even enable saving hairs that accidentally detach from the locks, or the locks removed for any reason.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
With the aim of obviating the above-cited drawbacks and obtaining large-scale and quality thickening and extending in ways which are simple, rapid, economical, safe, clean, automatic, independently of the ability of the operator, the invention realises invisible homogeneous connections, identical locks that are precise and can even be very small, mixing hairs having different colour tones in order to obtain the exact colour of the head hair, thus attaining the best technical and aesthetic effect possible.
The efficacy of holding of the added hair to the head hair is guaranteed by the independence of the glue from the locks, and thus by the use of new glues having different characteristics according to needs, and further due to the characteristics of the invention it presses the surfaces autonomously contactingly up to complete drying, with wide safety margins, without engaging the operator who after having applied the glue and closed the invention can leave it in position for a much longer time and up to complete drying, and pass on to the following lock, repeating the operation using another unit of the invention and so on up to the end of the operation. In this way the work is further not compromised by accidental movements of the operator's hands or head during the step of holding contact of the surfaces to be glued while waiting for the glue to dry. INDUSTRIALLY APPLICABILITY
The invention is economically advantageous as it speeds up work and eliminates the dead times constituted by the drying periods, and because it enables recuperation of hair coming from all the supports, detached hairs, including removed locks, from which the glue can be removed using a specific solvent, or by cutting the few millimetres of glue in order to apply the hairs several times to the locks of the head, using fresh glue.
It also works with large quantities of loose cut hair perfectly and automatically, independently of the operator's ability, and in a single operation realises, simply, even many locks, even very small locks, while reducing the work times and overcoming the limitations in the other systems at present in use, allowing also to obtain the best technical and aesthetic effect mixing hairs having different color tones in order to obtain the exact color of the head hair.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The extension and thickening is done by inserting the loose cut hair on the base of the connector, even if the hair is of several colours, and blocking it using the special pressing retainer, and leaving the part to be glued free and within easy reach. The hairs inserted are now blocked and arranged longitudinally in one or more groups, according to the number of channels on the base of the connector. Then a lock of the head hair is gripped, stretched and placed on the connector, the connector is pushed towards the lock and the hairs are arranged parallel, in a correct quantity above the hairs to be added, which were previously inserted in contact with the free portion thereof. Then an amount of glue is applied on the hairs in the area where the second pressing element will be closed. At this point the work is done and the operative can pass on to a further lock, using another unit of the invention. When drying is completed all the connectors are opened and each will have generated several locks, in a few simple steps, simply, precisely, tidily, cleanly, in series, hair on hair, without the use of other tools by the operative, eliminating dead times needed for drying and without direct contact of the operative with the glue. If the connectors used are previously prepared with the locks of loose hair to be added already inserted, the work will be incredibly fast.
The invention is described in the following essentially, but can be of any form and material, can be part of other instruments, or be made solid in various ways to different supports, can be added-to with combs, further pressing elements, channels for the glue or for aeration, or other details according to needs, or can be reduced to its constituent parts and be re-assembled wholly or in part during the operating stage. Further, all the details can be replaced with other technically equivalent ones, without forsaking the ambit of protection of the following patent.
These and other aims are attained by the device, which is constituted in its essential elements by a base for gluing and orientating the hairs, crossed by one or more longitudinal channels for separating the hairs and by two pressing elements, being a rear pressing element for holding the loose cut hair to be applied, and a front pressing element which after inserting the hairs of the head into the channels, and after applying the glue, is closed to hold in contact and compress the hairs to the underlying ones that were previously inserted and fixed to the base with rear pressing element, up to when the glue is totally dried, such as to pass to a further lock and repeat the operation up to when work is concluded.
Once the glue has dried, the invention which is chemically inert with the glue is opened and in a single passage, without the use of other tools, and with no direct contact of the operator with the glue, one or more identical locks have been obtained, perfectly connected and orientated, in number and width according to the channels in the base; these locks would have been impossible to realize without the use of the invention.
