Le connecteur comprend : un boîtier de protection où sont installées des bornes de connexion électrique et la fiche de branchement à verrouillage ; un boîtier de fiche dans lequel est introduit le boîtier de protection et où sont installées des prises pour bornes de connexion électrique connectées aux bornes de connexion électrique ainsi que la prise de branchement à verrouillage connectée à la fiche de branchement à verrouillage ; et une unité de court-circuit de relais de puissance conçue pour guider l'introduction du boîtier de fiche dans le boîtier de protection ou pour guider la séparation du boîtier de fiche d'avec le boîtier de protection, et pour permettre aux bornes de connexion électrique ainsi qu'aux prises pour bornes de connexion électrique d'être séparées les unes des autres après le court-circuit total d'un relais de puissance dû à la séparation complète de la fiche de branchement à verrouillage d'avec la prise de branchement à verrouillage.
