Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wellenenergiewandler zur Umwandlung von kinetischer Energie einer Wellenbewegung eines Fluids in elektrische Energie. Der Wellenenergiewandler weist einen Zylinder (7) auf, der derart im Fluid (2) geführt wird, dass er einer Wellenbewegung des Fluids (2) folgen kann. Ein zweiter Körper (8) ist mit dem Zylinder (7) gekoppelt, allerdings so, dass er beweglich zum Zylinder ist. Eine Energieumwandlungseinheit (16) dient zum Umwandeln der kinetischen Energie einer Relativbewegung zwischen dem Zweiter Körper (8) und dem Zylinder (7) in elektrische Energie. Die Energieumwandlungseinheit (16) enthält einen Kondensator, der ein elektroaktives Polymer enthält und dessen Kapazität sich bei der Verformung des elektroaktiven Polymers ändert. Die Relativbewegung zwischen dem zweiten Körper und dem Zylinder bewirkt eine Änderung der Kapazität.
