- Along the side walls of the through hole are located pneumatic chambers suspended on flexible clips fixed to the complex.
- the pneumatic chambers When inflated, the pneumatic chambers increase in size, displace the sleeve inward and change the size of the through hole until it completely overlaps. In the deflated state, the pneumatic chambers lose volume and hang along the side walls of the through hole, opening up access to the receiving device. When patients perform physiological departures, urine and feces through a through hole fall into a receiving device located on a moving platform. To reduce draft in the area of the through hole along the upper perimeter of the receiving device

- the bed is located on the same level with the frame of the complex and, or above.
- Handles protruding above the frame and curved upward along the movable side rails are attached to the bed sections. Handles, protruding beyond the sections of the bed, fix and support the edges of the mattress. Handles are used to tie bedding and adjust the position of the sections of the bed.
- a durable mattress pad is fixed to the dorsal section of the bed and the pelvic section of the bed overlaps the gap formed between the back section of the bed and the pelvic section of the bed in order to reduce the sharp bending and displacement of the mattress relative to the bed formed when the back section is displaced.
