Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for controlling LED lighting using a low-power wireless communication module. The LED lighting control system comprises: a plurality of LED lighting units; a sensor unit which senses the surrounding environment of the LED lighting units, and outputs a first control signal for operating a certain LED lighting unit from among said LED lighting units based on the sensed result; and a lighting control unit which operates said certain LED lighting unit in accordance with the first control signal, and outputs a second control signal including a control command for selectively operating at least one other LED lighting unit in accordance with a preset value. Thus, a control area may be expanded, a new control network in which an LED lighting unit is modified, added, or removed may be easily constructed, and LED lighting units may be controlled even without separate, central management.
