Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé de réduction des NOx et de récupération de la chaleur perdue contenus dans un flux de gaz d'échappement provenant d'une turbine alimentée par une énergie fossile, ledit procédé comprenant la mise en contact du flux de gaz d'échappement entre un économiseur et un évaporateur avec un gaz ozone pour convertir les NO en dioxyde d'azote (NO2) et former ainsi un flux de gaz d'échappement comprenant du NO2 et des NO résiduels. Le procédé comprend, en outre, la mise en contact du flux de gaz d'échappement comprenant du NO2 et des NO résiduels avec un brouillard d'eau pour créer un flux d'échappement comprenant de l'acide nitrique (HNO3) et des NO résiduels. Le procédé comprend, en outre, le refroidissement du flux d'échappement comprenant du HNO3 et des NO résiduels, la collecte d'un premier film d'eau résiduel sur un premier support de condensation pour capturer le HNO3 et l'élimination du premier film d'eau et du HNO3.
