Evidently, melting of the resin substrate is performed at very high temperature and would undoubtedly damage any surface finishing works performed in the heated areas. Hence, said localized curving method is not suitable for complete bending of the panel and cannot be applied to panels with valuable surface finishes.

  • the panel can be heated with a traditional furnace with rigorous control of the heating temperature.
  • heating can be obtained with hot water.
  • a polyester resin with tempering temperature of approximately 1 00 °C is used.
  • hot water can be used as heat source; the panel (4) is totally immersed in a hot water bath at 1 00 °C, where it is left until the tempering temperature of the molding resin is reached uniformly; the choice of the water bath ensures rapid heating of the flat panel (4) without risk of damaging the finished surface.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de cintrage de panneau moulé en résine (6). Selon ce procédé, la résine est moulée afin d'obtenir un panneau plat (2) qui subit un ou plusieurs travaux de finition. Ceci permet d'obtenir un panneau plat fini (4) conçu pour être chauffé à la température de recuit de la résine utilisée pour le moulage et être cintré à l'aide d'un moule de cintrage (7) qui permet d'obtenir un panneau cintré fini (6).
