Abstract

The present invention provides for a proteomic approach to diagnosing, classifying and grading acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), as well as for predicting patient survival. This approach employs global protein expression patterns to identify gene groups whose expression is altered in various ALLs and can thus be used to classify the type of ALL, the stage of ALL, as well as indicate whether a given patient will be a short- or long-term survivor.
