Abstract

전지셀들 자체 또는 둘 또는 그 이상의 전지셀들이 내장된 단위모듈들 다수 개가 직립 또는 도립된 형태로 적층되어 있는 전지모듈을 2열 이상 포함하고 있는 전지팩으로서, 상기 전지모듈들은 전지모듈 별로 각각의 팩 케이스에 내장되어 있고, 상기 팩 케이스에는, 전지셀들의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 전지셀 또는 단위모듈의 적층방향에 수직한 방향으로 전지모듈의 일측으로부터 대향측으로 유동할 수 있도록, 냉매 유입구와 냉매 배출구가 팩 케이스의 상부 및 하부에 위치하고 있으며, 상기 냉매 유입구로부터 전지모듈에 이르는 유동 공간('냉매 유입부')과 전지모듈로부터 냉매 배출구에 이르는 유동 공간('냉매 배출부')이 팩 케이스에 각각 형성되어 있고, 상기 냉매 유입구는 하나의 냉매 유입 덕트로부터 분기되어 각각의 팩 케이스에 연결되고, 상기 냉매 배출구는 각각의 팩 케이스에서 연장되어 하나의 냉매 배출 덕트에 연결되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩을 제공한다.
