Abstract

본 발명은 입력 장치 및 이 장치의 접촉 위치 검출 방법을 공개한다. 이 장치는 접촉 물체의 접촉 위치에 따라 측정값을 출력하는 터치 패널부, 상기 측정값을 기초로 로우(raw) 프레임을 생성하고, 상기 로우(raw) 프레임에서 최대값을 가지는 셀을 기준으로 적어도 하나의 클러스터를 생성하되, 복수개의 클러스터에 동시에 포함되는 중복셀이 있으면, 상기 중복셀의 값을 상기 중복셀과 인접한 셀들의 값에 따라 상기 복수개의 클러스터 각각으로 분할하여 상기 적어도 하나의 클러스터를 생성하는 클러스터링 동작을 수행하며, 상기 적어도 하나의 클러스터들 각각에 대하여 상기 접촉 위치의 좌표를 계산하는 접촉 위치 검출부를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
