Abstract

The invention relates to a refrigeration appliance, in particular a household refrigeration appliance, comprising a door leaf (1) that has an outer wall (2) in the front, an inner wall (4) in the rear, and at least one lateral side (3). The refrigeration appliance further comprises an intermediate insulation layer (5) and a handle shell (7) that has a recessed grip (8) which is accessible via an opening (9) in the lateral side (3). According to the invention, the opening (9) in the lateral side (3) includes a web (10) which engages with a corresponding groove (22) in the handle shell (7) in a mounted position of the handle shell (7).
