Abstract

A method and apparatus for creating edible foodstuffs from waste products of food processing, such as wheat bran, or wheat middlings. The foodstuffs are stabilized, nutritious, marketable, and are efficient to produce, and can be created in three distinct fractions, fiber-rich, protein-rich, and flour-like. The apparatus comprises a homogenizor, density separator, and a gas-transport system for propelling raw materials through various processing stages before being separated into different product fractions.
