Abstract
L'invention concerne un instrument de chirurgie électro-chirurgical qui comprend un effecteur d'extrémité, lequel effecteur d'extrémité peut comprendre des première et seconde mâchoires qui peuvent être ouvertes et fermées afin de capturer des tissus entre elles. Dans divers modes de réalisation, les première et seconde mâchoires peuvent comprendre une ou plusieurs électrodes conçues pour appliquer une tension dans les tissus, au moins une des électrodes pouvant comprendre : i) un matériau conducteur disposé dans un matériau non conducteur ou à résistance élevée ; ou ii) un matériau conducteur adhésif ; ou iii) plusieurs électrodes peuvent chacune comprendre un matériau à coefficient de température positif ayant différentes températures de commutation ; ou iv) des électrodes peuvent être indépendamment et/ou séquentiellement actionnées. Pendant et/ou après la mise sous tension des électrodes, un élément de coupe peut être avancé afin de couper les tissus.
