Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a cold beverage provision system (1), in particular a bar system for generating and dispensing mixed beverages. According to said method, a beverage is, or beverage components for preparing a beverage are, supplied to at least one production and/or distribution element and dispensed in a controlled or apportioned manner to a drinking vessel (17, 17', 17'') via a dispensing element (15, 15', 15''). A cleaning process is started manually and/or automatically as required. Hot water is provided and supplied to at least some of the production and/or distribution elements of the cold beverage provision system (1), and the hot water that has come into contact with the production and/or distribution elements is then discharged. Subsequently, the corresponding production and/or distribution elements are filled again with the beverage to be dispensed, or with the beverage components to be mixed for the beverage to be produced. In addition, all production and/or distribution elements which are associated with the beverages, or the beverage components for preparing beverages, are cooled. This creates a cold beverage provision system which meets increased requirements in terms of hygiene.
