Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés dans lesquels des sous-produits carbonés issus d'installations de production d'éthanol à base de maïs ou de transformation de grains sont utilisés comme charges d'alimentation dans un nouveau procédé de biotraitement consolidé (CBP). Les procédés CBP de l'invention viennent en complément à l'étape initiale de fermentation du processus de broyage à sec. Dans les procédés CBP, les micro-organismes décrits ici produisent soit des sucres, soit de l'éthanol, soit encore d'autres produits chimiques directement à partir de diverses charges d'alimentation introduites dans le dispositif CBP. L'emploi de dispositifs CBP permet d'augmenter la quantité totale du produit obtenu. Les procédés CBP de l'invention présentent en outre d'autres avantages: réduction des déchets, coût de production inférieur, et valorisation accrue des aliments pour animaux ou autres produits chimiques de valeur.
