Abstract

L'invention porte sur un étui à l'épreuve des balles, qui comprend une gaine destinée à contenir l'arme à feu, des moyens pour fixer l'arme à feu à l'intérieur de la gaine, et un arrêt de balle qui absorbe et contient un tir involontaire d'une seule balle, et les éventuelles particules de balle issues de la balle unique. L'arrêt de balle butte contre la chambre de décharge de l'arme à feu contenu dans l'étui à l'épreuve des balles. Plusieurs arrêts de balle ont été testés sur le terrain et donnent d'excellents résultats, de la façon la plus notable, de petites biles céramiques fortement tassées sur une matière résistante aux balles (Kevlar®), par un époxy. Le tissu résistant aux balles imprégné comportant des fluides d'épaississement au cisaillement, l'arrêt de balle est fait de particules céramiques maintenues assemblées par un époxy et l'arrêt de balle est une matière céramique façonnée. On décrit également un mode de réalisation qui permet d'appliquer cette technologie à un étui classique.
