Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de formation d'une suture en bourse, qui comprend un applicateur de suture ayant une poignée proximale, une bobine de fil de suture y étant montée ou se trouvant dans une chambre interne. Une longueur de la suture est partiellement enroulée sur la bobine, et une aiguille creuse pour suture s'étend d'une extrémité distale de la poignée et contient une extrémité libre de la longueur de la suture. L'aiguille de suture se projette distalement depuis la poignée en une forme hélicoïdale et se termine en une pointe distale affûtée avec une ouverture dans un côté à proximité de la pointe distale. L'extrémité libre de la longueur de la suture peut s'étendre hors de la pointe distale et revenir dans l'aiguille de suture creuse par l'ouverture. L'aiguille de suture peut avoir un segment de déflection adjacent à la pointe distale qui est plus flexible que le reste de la partie distale hélicoïdale de l'aiguille de suture. Un axe de pivot creux et linéaire s'étend d'une extrémité distale de la poignée sensiblement le long d'un axe de la partie distale hélicoïdale de l'aiguille de suture. L'axe de pivot a une pointe émoussée ayant un profil radial sensiblement plus grand que l'axe pour empêcher la perforation du tissu.
