Abstract
The invention specifies a module bypass circuit (30) for a photovoltaic module (2). The module bypass circuit (30) comprises a bypass diode (33) and a switching element (46) connected in parallel therewith, and also a control circuit (64) which measures the diode voltage (Ud) present across the bypass diode (33) and which, in the event of an abrupt change in the diode voltage (Ud) which lies outside predefined limiting values, activates the switching element (46) by means of a trigger signal (A).
