Description
Description
AN OVEN
[0001] The present invention relates to an oven comprising a motor.
[0002] At least one heater, at least one fan and a motor providing the drive of the fan are provided in ovens wherein the cooking process is performed by convection The oven casing is divided into two compartments by means of a separator. The heater, fan and motor are disposed in the compartment which remains between the rear wall of the casing and the separator and the other compartment forms a cooking chamber wherein foods to be cooked are placed. The air heated by the heater is moved by the fan and delivered into the cooking chamber through the holes arranged on the separator and the food is provided to be cooked by means of heat transfer between the air and the food to be cooked. The electromagnetic field and electromagnetic induction field occurring during the operation of the motor can cause the walls around the motor, especially the rear wall which is closest to the motor, enter in magnetic resonance. The vibration due to the resonance reflects as noise to the user during the operation of the oven.
[0003] In the state of the art Korean Patent Application No. KR20010004788, an oven is explained. In this embodiment, a cut-away portion is formed in the rear wall compartment which is at the same level with the motor and the fan, in order to prevent the magnetic resonance which can occur in the rear wall during the operation of the motor. Thus, the portion of the rear wall, whereon the magnetic field caused by the motor and fan affects, is aimed to be removed.
[0004] The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven which is
provided to operate silently.
[0005] The casing rear wall used in the oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a shield that is fixed at the same level with the fan and the motor. The shield is non-magnetic.
[0006] In an embodiment of the present invention, a depression is formed on the rear wall at the same level with the fan and the motor. In this embodiment, the shield is disposed into the depression. Thus, during the operation of
the fan and the motor, the rear wall, especially the region thereof that is at the same level with the fan and motor, is prevented from vibrating by being affected by the occurring electromagnetic field and the consequent generation of noise is also prevented. The depression and the shield are preferably circular.
[0007] The shield is produced from a non-magnetic material such as stainless inox, aluminum or nickel-copper. In order not to be affected by the electromagnetic field, preferably AISI 304 quality material is used.
[0008] The shield is fixed into the depression by preferably spot welding. The shield is spot welded at two regions, being at equal intervals along a circular line close to its outer wall and from the center thereof. On the outer wall, twelve spot weldings are performed at thirty degree intervals, preferably angularly.
[0009] In different embodiments, in order to increase the effectiveness of the
fixing, in addition to the spot welding regions at the outer wall and the center, spot welding is performed along a circular line also at a third region between these two. On this line, three spot weldings are performed at a hundred and twenty degree intervals, preferably angularly.
[0010] In an embodiment of the present invention, the distance between the point at which the shield is spot welded from the center thereof and the point at which the shield is spot welded from the outer wall thereof is 2.5 times greater than the distance between the point at which the shield is spot welded from the center thereof and the point at which the shield is spot welded from a third region remaining between th outer wall and the center thereof. Thus, the effectiveness of fixing is increased and lifespan is extended.
[001 1] The model embodiments relating to an oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention are illustrated in the attached figures, where:
[0012] Figure 1 - is the sideways schematic view of an oven.
[0013] Figure 2 - is the inner view of the rear wall in an embodiment of the
present invention
[0014] Figure 3 - is the view of detail A in Figure 2.
[0015] Figure 4 - is the sideways cross-sectional view of the rear wall in an
embodiment of the present invention.
[0016] Figure 5 - is the view of detail B in Figure 4.
[0017] The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Oven
2. Casing
3. Rear wall
4. Cooking chamber
5. Fan
6. Motor
7. Separator
8. Depression
9. Shield
[0018] The oven (1 ) is of the type wherein the baking process is performed by convection, and comprises a casing (2), a rear wall (3) covering the rear surface of the casing (2), a cooking chamber (4) disposed in the casing (2) and wherein foods to be cooked are placed, at least one fan (5) disposed in the casing (2) and which moves the air, at least one motor (6) providing the drive of the fan (5) and a separator (7) that separates the cooking chamber (4) and the volume containing the fan (5) and the motor (6)
(Figure 1).
[0019] The rear wall (3) comprises a non-magnetic shield (9) fixed to the rear wall (3) so as to be aligned with the fan (5) and the motor (6) (Figure 2, Figure 4 and Figure 5). Thus, the vibration that occurs and the consequent noise are prevented by minimizing the effect of the electromagnetic field occurring during the operation of the motor (6) on the rear wall (3). In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the depression (8) is shaped by deep drawing process.
[0020] In an embodiment of the present invention, the rear wall (3) comprises a depression (8) situated at the same level with the fan (5) and the motor (6 ). In this embodiment, the shield (9) is disposed into the depression (8).
[0021] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the depression (8) and the shield (9) are circular.
[0022] The shield (9) is produced from a non-magnetic, preferably AISI 304
quality metal material. The shield (9) can be produced from a material such as stainless inox, aluminum or nickel-copper.
[0023] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shield (9) is fixed into the depression (8) by spot welding. Thus, the shield (9) is provided to be fixed into the depression (8) in an easy and effective way.
[0024] In this embodiment, the shield (9) is spot welded at two regions, one being from the center thereof and others being from the outer wall thereof at angularly certain intervals (a). In the preferred version of this embodiment the shield (9) is spot welded at twelve different points at the outer wall thereof at angularly equal intervals (a=30°) (Figure 3).

In the preferred version of this embodiment the shield (9) is fixed by being spot welded at three different points at angularly equal intervals (β=120°) from the region remaining between the outer wall and the center thereof (Figure 3).
[0026] In an embodiment of the present invention, the distance (H) between the point at which the shield (9) is spot welded from the center thereof and the point at which the shield (9) is spot welded from the outer wall thereof is 2.5 times greater than the distance (K) between the point at which the shield (9) is spot welded from the center thereof and the point at which the shield (9) is spot welded from a third region remaining between the outer wall and the center thereof (Figure 3). Thus, the fixing is provided to be more reliable and effective.
[0027] By means of the shield (9) used in the oven (1 ) of the present invention, the oven (1 ) is provided to operate silently be minimizing the vibration occurring at the rear wall (3) due to the occurring electromagnetic field during the operation of the motor (6) and the fan (5).
