Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition de bitume modifié comprenant du bitume; de la poudrette de caoutchouc; un catalyseur usé de craquage catalytique fluide; et optionnellement au moins un polymère de faible valeur. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation d'une composition de bitume modifié consistant à chauffer du bitume à une température comprise entre environ 120 °C et environ 200 °C; à ajouter un catalyseur usé de craquage catalytique fluide au bitume chauffé pour obtenir un mélange; à ajouter optionnellement au moins un polymère de faible valeur audit mélange, puis à homogénéiser le mélange pendant environ 30 minutes à environ 10 heures; à ajouter de la poudrette de caoutchouc au mélange; et à homogénéiser le mélange obtenu pendant environ 30 minutes à environ 24 heures pour obtenir le bitume modifié.
