Abstract
L'invention concerne un système permettant de tester la perception olfactive de patients atteints de lésions cérébrales causées par un accident de la route, un accident vasculaire cérébral ou analogue, et de patients souffrant de dépression gériatrique ou atteints de démence. Selon ce système, un utilisateur tient dans sa main un échantillon olfactif contenant une substances parfumée et sent l'échantillon. Ensuite, les résultats du test de perception olfactive sont déterminés automatiquement pour être affichés sur un écran selon que l'échantillon olfactif est inséré dans une rainure polyédrique dans laquelle une lettre ou une image correspondant à l'odeur de l'échantillon est affichée, parmi plusieurs rainures polyédriques d'une partie insertion d'échantillon ; selon qu'un bouton correspondant à l'odeur de l'échantillon olfactif est enfoncé parmi plusieurs boutons d'écran tactile d'une partie saisie d'échantillon olfactif ; ou selon qu'une touche correspondant à l'odeur de l'échantillon olfactif est enfoncée parmi plusieurs touches d'un clavier de la partie saisie d'échantillon olfactif. Le système selon l'invention est très utile dans le diagnostic précoce de la dépression gériatrique et de la démence, et il permet d'évaluer le déroulement de la rééducation ou du traitement afin d'améliorer la perception olfactive de patients atteints de lésions cérébrales causées par un accident de la route, un accident vasculaire cérébrale ou analogue.
