L'invention concerne un appareil qui est destiné à être utilisé sur la chaise ou sur le siège d'une personne effectuant un travail sédentaire et qui comporte une partie de siège réelle (1), sous lequel se trouve une partie de saillie (2) permettant à l'appareil un mouvement fondamentalement non limité en ce qui concerne la direction. Un dispositif (3), en particulier un composant de type niveau à bulle (3) ou un capteur électronique d'attitude, qui montre l'attitude de l'appareil par rapport à la direction désirée, est également fixé à l'appareil.
