Abstract

An ophthalmic surgical pressure measuring device, comprising: a first compressible tube, through which an aspiration fluid or irrigation fluid can be transported at a first pressure, to be placed against a first abutment; a second compressible tube, through which aspiration fluid or irrigation fluid can be transported at a second pressure, to be placed against a second abutment; - a connecting element arranged between the first tube and the second tube such that the first pressure and the second pressure can act on the connecting element, a sensor, which can register the position of the connecting element or the force exerted upon the sensor by the connecting element as a reaction to the first pressure and second pressure acting on the connecting element, the first abutment being able to be positioned at a predefined and constant distance from the second abutment such that a clamping force acts on the first tube together with the connecting element and the second tube.
