Abstract

본 발명은 과민성 장 증후군의 치료 또는 예방에 유용한 조성물 및 과민성 장 증후군을 치료 또는 예방하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 과민성 장 증후군의 치료 또는 예방을 위하여 Atractylodes japonica 근경(rhizome) 추출물, 바람직하게는 Atractylodes japonica 근경 에탄올 수용액 추출물, 더욱 바람직하게는 Atractylodes japonica 근경 35-65 v/v% 에탄올 수용액 추출물을 유효성분으로 이용한다. Atractylodes japonica 추출물은 내장 과민성 억제 및 스트레스나 장과민성으로 인한 배변 이상에 대한 개선효과가 탁월하다.
