Description
Air filter insertion for mask and air treatment installation applied as a therapeutical or preventive process
The subject of our invention is an air filter insertion for protective mask and air treatment installations applied as a therapeutical or preventive process of wide working spectrum.
The invasion of human organisms by airborne pathogens is usually prevented by masks provided with a filter insertion which filter viruses physically. Physical filtration is not complete.
The patent specification registered under No. HU 220 529 describes an application of the therapeutical preparation containing as effective substance polyamine derivatives of the general formula X Y
I I
R-C-N-(CqH2qNH)z-Rl where R is a long-chain, aliphatic hydrocarbon residuum containing a saturated or unsaturated bond, Rl is a hydrogen atom or a long-chain aliphatic acyl residuum containing a saturated or unsaturated bond, X is an oxygen atom and Y is a hydrogen atom or X and Y together form an =N-CH2-CH2-group, i.e. a dihydroimidazole ring comes into being within the compound, the value of z is 1 to 5 and the value of q is 1 to 4, in a process of treatment ensuring antitumorous curative effect.
The patent specification also describes preparations suitable for intravenous and non- intravenous administration.
Identically with decomposing certain proteins of tumour cells the effective substance also decomposes so-called non-structural proteins of viruses preventing thereby their
penetration into and multiplication in the host cell. This non-virus-specific general antiviral effect is confirmed by laboratory findings in respect of both hygiene and veterinary hygiene.
We have realized that the effective substance can not only be applied in therapeutical treatment processes ensuring antitumorous curative effect but, applying its non-virus- specific general ability of decomposing non-structural proteins, also for preventing and curing general viral infections.
The invasion of human organisms by airborne pathogens is usually prevented by masks provided with a filter insertion which filter viruses physically. In wall-confined spaces air treatment installations, also containing air filter insertion for physical air filtration, are used for air treatment. Physical filtration is not complete.
Our invention is aimed at the elimination of this incompletion.
If the filter insertion applied in the mask contains the effective substance it completes physical filtration and the effective substance inhaled produces its antiviral effect on the viruses already in the organism. If the air filter of the air treatment installation contains the effective substance the effective substance can be introduced into the wall-confined space whereby its general antiviral effect can also be utilized for preventive purposes.
Accordingly our invention relates to an air filter insertion for protective mask and air treatment installations applied as a therapeutical or preventive process of wide working spectrum.
The air filter insertion as per our invention contains in appropriate dose as effective substance polyamine derivatives of the general formula X Y
I I
R-C-N-(CqH2qNH)z-Rl where R is a long-chain, aliphatic hydrocarbon residuum containing a saturated or unsaturated bond,
Rl is a hydrogen atom or a long-chain aliphatic acyl residuum containing a saturated or unsaturated bond,
X is an oxygen atom and
Y is a hydrogen atom or
X and Y together form an =N-CH2-CH2-group, i.e. a dihydroimidazole ring comes into being within the compound, the value of z is 1-5 and the value of q is 1-4, keeping its potency.
In the air filter insertions of masks and air treatment installations solid filters of e.g. textile cloth, synthetic cloth, paper, carbon or similar material or filters of liquid phase are applied to air filtration. Solid filter insertions contain the effective substance keeping its potency by impregnation of solution in liquid state.
The solution containing the effective substance keeping its potency can be introduced directly to the filter of liquid state.
When applying our invention the effective substance can be introduced into wall-confined spaces as the filter insertion, usually used in air technical installations treating the air, contains the effective substance keeping its potency. The air treated with the effective substance produces in the organism when inhaled in the way and through the mechanism of action described its therapeutical and/or preventive effect. Accordingly the air technical installation provided with the filter insertion as per our invention becomes applicable in therapeutical treating and preventive processes of wide working spectrum. When applying our invention the effective substance is available for inhalation as the filter insertion of the mask contains the effective substance in a way it keeps its potency, whereby the mask provided with the filter insertion as per our invention becomes applicable in therapeutical treating and preventive processes of wide working spectrum.
