Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bereitstellen mindestens einer Arbeitswalze (1, 2) zum Walzen eines bandförmigen Walzguts (3), wobei die Arbeitswalze (1, 2) vorgesehen ist, um mit einer zweiten Walze (4, 5), insbesondere mit einer Zwischen- oder Stützwalze, zusammenzuwirken und von dieser abgestützt zu werden, wobei die zweite Walze (4, 5) in ihren axialen Endbereichen einen Rückschliff (6) aufweist. Um die Qualität eines gewalzten Bandes zu erhöhen, sieht das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren die Schritte vor: a) Berechnung des sich ergebenden Walzspaltprofils zwischen zwei zusammenwirkenden Arbeitswalzen (1, 2), wobei eine definierte Breite (B) des Walzguts (3) zugrunde gelegt wird, die sich zumindest teilweise in den Bereich des Rückschliffs (6) der zweiten Walze (4, 5) erstreckt; b) Definition einer gewünschten Walzgutkontur, die durch den Walzvorgang beim Passieren der Arbeitswalzen (1, 2) erzeugt werden soll; c) Berechnung eines Kompensationsschliffs für die Arbeitswalze (1, 2) durch Subtraktion der gemäß Schritt b) definierten Walzgutkontur von dem Walzspaltprofil gemäß Schritt a) und Multiplikation der berechneten Differenz mit einem Dämpfungsfaktor (K); d) zumindest anteiliges Aufbringen des gemäß Schritt c) berechneten Kompensationsschliffs auf mindestens eine Arbeitswalze (1, 2).
