Abstract

La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'antigènes recombinants différents entre eux, obtenus à partir de gènes de Leishmania chagasi/Leishmania infantum, dans des essais visant à identifier, détecter et quantifier des anticorps spécifiques dans une matière biologique, y compris le sérum, le plasma, la salive et l'urine, prélevée chez un être humain, un chien et d'autres hôtes vertébrés de Leishmania. Ces antigènes recombinants ou leurs gènes ou une partie des gènes qui les codent peuvent être utilisés pour le diagnostic des leishmanioses, soit de l'infection et/ou de la maladie. La présente invention concerne également l'utilisation de ces antigènes recombinants, ou de gènes ou d'une partie des gènes qui les codent, ou encore des formulations contenant ces antigènes, pour obtenir un traitement et/ou des vaccins destinés à un être humain, un chien et d'autres hôtes vertébrés, contre les leishmanioses.
