Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de protéger un contenu multimédia numérique, permettant non seulement de bloquer l'utilisation illégale du contenu multimédia dans divers formats à la source, mais également de réduire la charge système et de maximiser la possibilité de réutilisation du contenu tout en maintenant la compatibilité avec les systèmes existants. Le système permettant de protéger le contenu multimédia numérique comprenant un intégreur et un serveur de gestion des droits numériques (DRM). L'intégreur analyse le format du contenu afin de chiffrer au moins une partie d'une région de données située dans une charge utile du format correspondant puis il insert des informations chiffrées contenant au moins une valeur de clé chiffrée ou des informations de contenu dans le contenu de manière à générer le contenu chiffré. Le serveur DRM reçoit les informations chiffrées et une demande de licence provenant d'un dispositif externe qui reçoit les informations chiffrées, identifie les informations chiffrées afin de générer une licence utilisée pour déchiffrer le contenu chiffré, et il fournit la licence générée au dispositif externe.
