Abstract

L'invention concerne la chimie. Le procédé consiste à préparer, dans des récipients distincts et à température ambiante, des solutions de silicate de sodium dans de l'eau déminéralisée et d'acide adapté aux batteries. On prépare dans un réacteur une solution chaude de silicate de sodium dans de l'eau déminéralisée chauffée et remuée en continu; on maintient une température de 94°C. On ajoute simultanément dans le réacteur à partir des récipients les solutions de silicate de sodium dans de l'eau déminéralisée et d'acide pour batteries. Lorsque le pH dans le réacteur atteint 10 à 11, on ajoute de l'acide pour batteries jusqu'à ce que l'on atteigne un pH de 4,5. On isole et on sèche la suspension de dioxyde de silicium précipité obtenue. Le dioxyde de silicium se présente comme une poudre blanche à faible granularité.
