Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de détection d'acide nucléique et un procédé qui fait appel à la technologie des nanocapteurs biologiques pour détecter un ADN duplex. Le dispositif est particulièrement applicable à la détection de la présence ou de l'absence d'un ADN duplex et à sa corrélation avec le diagnostic de maladies infectieuses. Dans un mode de réalisation, la maladie infectieuse est la maladie de Lyme ou une infection bactérienne ou virale. Le dispositif comprend un élément de nanocapteur biologique comprenant des nanotubes amorcés avec un ADN simple brin, à paroi simple ou à parois multiples. Le procédé consiste à mettre en contact l'élément de nanocapteur biologique avec une solution à analyser contenant potentiellement l'ADN d'intérêt. L'ADN d'intérêt qui s'hybride à l'ADN simple brin entraîne une modification mesurable des propriétés électriques du nanocapteur biologique. Les corrélations entre les résultats fournis par le dispositif et la présence d'états pathologiques peuvent déboucher sur un diagnostic rapide de maladies telles que la maladie de Lyme ou d'infections d'origine alimentaire telles que la salmonellose.
