Abstract

The device for channelling a flow of water around the hub of a boat propeller comprises at least one ring (20) fastened around the propeller shaft housing (1) or around the base of the propeller upstream of this propeller, and this ring (20) has in longitudinal section the general shape of the section of an aircraft wing. This device can also be formed by at least two longitudinal ribs (22) fastened to the propeller housing upstream of the hub of this propeller, in combination or not with said ring (20). The axial length of the ring or rings is smaller than its diameter.
