Description
DESCRIPTION
AN AIMING AIR GUN WITH A TIP - UP BARREL
Field of the Invention
This invention is related with an aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel which has a lock mechanism to provide users with ergonomic and easy use.
Background of the Invention
Aiming air guns with a tip-up barrel are one of the guns recently used for shooting. Before shooting with this gun, the barrel is broken / opened downwards form the gun's body by the user and the bullet is loaded inside the barrel; after the bullet is loaded in the barrel, the barrel is closed by moving it upwards. (The gun is locked to its body)
In the process that the barrel is locked to the gun's body by the user, to provide the shot sensitivity, the barrel is needed to be locked on the gun's body always at the same linearity. Furthermore, the processes of breaking / opening the gun and closing / locking the gun should be ergonomically and safely performed.
In the present systems, there are two members to enable the barrel to be locked on the gun's body. One of them is the locking pin and the other one is the locking spring.
The stronger the locking spring is, the more it applies pressure on the locking pin and it tries to keep the barrel at the same linearity. However, to break / open the barrel applying a force to overcome this spring is required. In this system, in order to break the barrel and
make the gun ready fort he shot, the locking spring has to be tender. As a result, after some use, the locking spring cannot fill the gaps formed on the barrel. The said fluctuations on the barrel prevent the bullet to reach at the desired target by spoiling the shot sensitivity. Since the shot performance of the gun will be lowered, the user's contentedness will be destroyed.
Technically some developments are achieved to meet the necessities for these kinds of problems. In technically known applications of Italian Patent Publication No IT 123 6398 B and US Patent Publication No US 438 0881A, locking mechanisms of the barrel on the gun are presented.
A Short summary of the Invention
The purpose of this invention is to provide an aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel which removes the gaps formed on the barrel after the barrel is iocked on the gun's body completely and offers long termed shot sensitivity.
One another purpose of the invention is to provide an aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel which enables for the users to break the barrel before shooting and closing the barrel again after loading the bullets easily and ergonomically.
A Detailed Summary of the Invention
The aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel provided in order to achieve the purposes of the invention is described with accompanying figures.
These figures,
Fig - 1 is a perspective view of the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel of the invention.
Fig - 2 is a perspective view of the plunder belonging to the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel of the invention.
Fig - 3 is a perspective view of the locking lever belonging to the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel of the invention.
Fig - 4 is a perspective view of another application of the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel of the invention.
The components forming the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel, subject of this invention are numerated with the accompanying figures as listed below.
1- The gun 2- The plunger
2.1- The plunger pressure pin
2.2- The plunger pressure spring
3- The barrel
4- The locking lever 5- The lug
6- The locking spring
7- The locking pin
8- The plunger lever
9- The hoister
The aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel (1) consists of; at least one lug (5) which makes leverage by pushing on the barrel(3) on the plunger (2) and move the locking lever (4) towards the barrel (3),
At least one locking pin (7) which enables the barrel to break by getting out of the socket connected to the locking lever (4) on the body and leads the locking spring (6) to be pressed,
And at least one plunger (2) which enables the barrel to break by being pushed towards the barrel in the vertical direction (b) by the user to give the first actuation when it is desired to break the barrel(3) and prevents the barrel (3) to break /open unintendedly.
The plunger (2) of the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel (1) of the invention contains at least one plunger pressure pin (2.1) and at least one plunger pressure spring (2.2) which enables the movement of the plunger upwards and downwards while the barrel (3) is turned to broken / opened mode and locked / closed mode.
When it is intended to turn the barrel (3) in broken / opened position to the locked / closed position, the locking spring which is in strict pressed structure is released and restores the locking pin (7). Therefore, the barrel is locked on the gun's body.
In another application of the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel of the invention, as the plunger (2) is moved towards the muzzle of the barrel (3), it makes the actuation of the lock mechanism by means of the plunger lever (8). Thus, the barrel is broken / opened by the user without any hand change.
In this application, the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel (1) contains a hoister made up of preferred plastic, aluminum or wood which protects the barrel (3), the locking plunger (2) and locking
plunger lever (8) and increases the efficiency and appearance by leaving the required parts out.
The aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel (1) of the invention enables the unlock mechanism located on the barrel (3) to be easily reached and the barrel (3) to be easily opened when it is desired, keeps the shot sensitivity by enabling the barrel (3) to be locked safely when the bullet is loaded in the barrel and it is closed again and also it prevents the cavities and gaps to be formed on the barrel (3) as a result of the cases that the gun (1) to be fallen or crashed.
Within the scope of this basic concept, for the aiming air gun with a tip - up barrel (1) of the invention it is possible to develop many various applications and it cannot be limited fr these examples explained above, it is above all as defined in claims.
