Abstract

A compound driver is described in which first and second drivers share a common magnetic system. Also described is an earphone in which a duct is configured to allow air to flow into and out of a volume between two drivers in a compound driver in order to prevent mixing between out of phase sound waves. Further, an earphone is described in which the relative output levels of a first and a second driver can be adjusted, for example to increase the level of bass or treble reproduced by the earphone.
