Also, the viewer download server 400 serves to automatically install the merging document viewer 310 through the communication network, where the view program for viewing the attached file is not installed in the mobile phone.
Here, the merging document format file having the embedded font can be viewed identically with the original document.
Also, the mobile phone mail server 200 serves to receive the E-mail of the plug-in 120 for mobile phone E-mail and transmit it to the mobile phone. In order to execute it, the mobile phone mail server 200 includes the E-mail receiving portion 210 for receiving the E-mail and the mobile phone number of the receiving person from the plug-in 120
for mobile phone E-mail plugged in the outlook express of the user of the personal computer, the WAP page and MMS generating portion 220 for displaying the E-mail text and the attached file of the received mail, and the E-mail receipt alarming portion 230 for transmitting the generated WAP page address or MMS to the mobile phone corresponding to the mobile phone number of the receiving mail through the SMS message, the message of the WAP (wireless application protocol) PUSH type, the callback URL (uniform resource locator) SMS message and so forth. As described above, in order to transmit the E-mail to the mobile phone, the mobile phone mail server 200 includes the WAP page generating portion for utilizing a WAP (wireless application protocol) widely used in the mobile communication network as one standard or the MMS generating portion for utilizing a MMS protocol widely used in the mobile communication network as another standard. Here, the outlook express 100 is an outlook program or an outlook express program. Also, the outlook express 100 is any one of MS office programs. Moreover, the outlook express 100 serves to manage a simple E-mail as well as reciprocally merge and manage schedules, contact addresses, and various operations using MS offices. Here, the outlook express 110 performs any functions related to the E-mail and newsgroups among outlook functions.
The attached file converting portion 125 serves to convert the attached file of the attached file processing portion 124 in any form capable of viewing it in the mobile phone 300. Also, as described above, the merging document viewer 310 serves to view the document merging format file having an embedded font identically with the original document.
In this case, the document merging format file has the embedded font used in the converting original document, so that it can viewed
identically with the original document. Here, the document merging format file having the embedded font can be widely applied to various document programs, differently with the conventional viewers of supporting only restricted document program. The document merging format file can be based on CSD(Compact Shared Document; Dream to reality Co., Ltd., Korea), RGO (Cerience Co., Ltd., USA) or PDF (Adobe Co., Ltd., USA) format techniques and so on. These techniques can be already widely known to the public.
Also, these techniques can be implemented through "a recorded medium capable of reading through a computer of recording a program having a document embedding view function and a method thereof" disclosed in Korean patent registration No. 0603984 filed by the present applicant in 2004. Accordingly, further descriptions on these are omitted here. To put the characteristic of the format file simply, the conversion speed and the inquiry speed of the document format file having the electric document font is very fast. Also, since the converted document file is light in size in comparison with the original document owing to an image overlapping removal using a pattern matching, it can be rapidly and easily utilized in the mobile phones restricted to the transmission and storing thereof. In the meantime, the viewer download server 400 serves to automatically install the merging document viewer 310 through the communication network, where the view program for viewing the attached file is not installed in the mobile phone.
That is, where the user of the mobile phone receives the corresponding E-mail for the first time, if the view program for viewing the attached file is not existed in the mobile phone, the merging document viewer 310 can be automatically downloaded through the viewer download server 400. Here, if the view program is already existed in the
mobile phone, the downloading process thereof can be omitted.
The operation of the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention will be described in detail below.
Firstly, the E-mail sender makes out the E-mail text and the attached file through the outlook express. Here, where the E-mail sender wants to directly send the E-mail and the attached file to the mobile phone, he inputs the number of the mobile phone of the receiving person through the plug-in 120 for mobile phone E-mail existed in the menu of the outlook express and then, calls on the plug-in 120 for mobile phone E-mail to convert the contents of the E-mail into the merging document format file capable of viewing it in the corresponding mobile phone identically with the original document.
That is, when the attached file is attached to the E-mail, the attached file is converted into the document format file through the attached file converting portion 125.
After the above process is completed in the plug-in 120 for mobile phone E-mail, the mobile phone number of the receiver, the E-mail text, the attached file, the title of the E-mail etc. are directly transmitted to the mobile phone mail server 200.
Here, the mobile phone mail server 200 serves to generate the WAP page or the MMS page.
That is, the SMS message, the WAP PUSH type message, or the MMS type message including an URL (uniform resource locator) of the E-mail server 600 are transmitted to the corresponding mobile phone 300 through the mobile phone mail server 200. Accordingly, the E-mail text can be checked out through the transmitted message. Here, the
E-mail receiver is connected to the attached file and then, checks out the existence or nonexistence of the view program. If the view
program for viewing the attached file is not existed in the mobile phone, the merging document viewer 310 is automatically downloaded through the viewer download server 400 and the corresponding attached file is downloaded from the URL (uniform resource locator), so that the attached document file can be easily viewed through the viewer in the mobile phone.
Here, the techniques for downloading the viewer can be implemented through "a mobile document transfer system using a document format with a font data and a method thereof" disclosed in Korean patent application No. 10-2006-18673 filed by the present applicant in February, 2006. Accordingly, further descriptions on these are omitted here.
In the present invention, after the user makes out the E-mail through the outlook express, the number of the mobile phone is inputted through the execution of the plug-in 120, which is plugged in the outlook express. At this time, if the attached file is attached to the E-mail, the attached file is converted into the document format file capable of viewing it in the mobile phone through the attached file converting portion 125. After the above process is completed in the plug-in 120 for mobile phone E-mail, the mobile phone number of the receiver, the E-mail text, the attached file, the title of the E-mail etc. are directly transmitted to the mobile phone mail server 200. At this time, the mobile phone mail server 200 serves to generate the WAP page or the MMS page. Then, the SMS message, the WAP PUSH type message, or the MMS type message including the stored URL (uniform resource locator) of the E-mail server 600 are transmitted to the corresponding mobile phone 300 through the mobile phone mail server 200. Here, where the view program for viewing the attached file is not existed in the mobile phone, the merging document viewer
310 is automatically downloaded through the viewer download server 400 and the corresponding attached file is downloaded from the URL (uniform resource locator), so that the attached document file can be viewed through the viewer in the mobile phone. Here, the attached file can be made out through various document writing programs such as a "Hangul" word program, MS word program, a PowerPoint program, an "Excel" word program, "Hunmin Jeong-eum" word program and so forth. Since the attached file is converted into the merging document format file having the embedded font capable of checking out all files, the receiver of the E-mail can check out the content of the attached file in the mobile phone thereof through the merging document viewer, which is installed on the mobile phone. In order to solve the conventional problems in that only the multimedia files can be checked out in the mobile phone, the office document files can be directly transmitted to the mobile phone and the merging document viewer capable of viewing the merging document format file can be downloaded through the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention, so that all kinds of documents can be viewed through the viewer without installing each document viewing program capable of viewing a "Hangul" document, a MS word document, an "Excel" document, a "Hunmin Jeong-eum" document and so forth. That is, the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention can overcome the limit of the conventional mobile phone capable of viewing only multimedia files, so that it can easily view various office documents in the mobile phone.
In other word, in the conventional system for transmitting and receiving multimedia messages of mobile communicator and the method
thereof capable of attaching the multimedia files to the E-mail text during the receiving and transmitting of the message between mobile phones or between the mobile phone and the personal computer (Korean patent publication No. 10-2004-20580), there are problems in that corresponding running programs are required according to the kinds of the multimedia files such as the image file, the moving file or the music file so as to check out the attached multimedia contents and it should be equipped with corresponding codecs in order to use the music file or the moving file. Also, there is another problem in that the office document files are of no use.
In the conventional E-mail attached file reviewing method using the mobile communication terminal (Korean patent publication No. 10-2006-2288), after the arbitrary file type, which is not supported by the mobile phone, is corresponded with the optimum type supported by the mobile phone through the mapping table, since the original document is converted in the optimum type through the file type conversion module, there is a problem in that the data transmission capacity is very large in comparison with the present invention, thereby decreasing the speed of the data transmission of the attached file and increasing the cost on the data transmission. Also, the original document cannot be viewed in case that the attached file is not supported by the corresponding mobile phone. Moreover, there is another problem in that it cannot help storing the attached file in only the space of the user. Furthermore, there is further another problem in that the original documents made out various styles of type cannot be viewed as it is and can be viewed only through the processed style of type thereof.
However, according to the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention,
since the converted file has the font information, it can check out the contents of the document identically with the style of type of the original document (for example, in case of the office documents written in a roman type, a gothic type, an Arial type etc., the office documents converted through the conventional viewer can be viewed in only the Arial type. However, in the present invention, the original documents made out various styles of type can be viewed through the merging document viewer as it is (identically with original document in term of the style of type thereof).
FIG. 3 through FIG. 6 are photographs illustrating statuses of displaying the attached files on the screen of the mobile phone by using the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention respectively. As shown in the drawings, various examples of displaying the attached files on the screen of the mobile phone are illustrated in case that the attached files are transmitted to the corresponding mobile phone through the mobile phone transmission system of the E-mail text and the attached file according to the present invention. That is, the attached files illustrated in FIG. 3 through FIG. 6 are a cartoon file, a magazine file, a PowerPoint file, and a "Hangul" word file respectively. Accordingly, although the attached file is the office document file, various image files or arbitrary file having various kinds of fonts, it can view the attached file through the merging document viewer of the present invention as it is (original font), without installing a restricted viewer capable of viewing the written file and converting it into a separately uniform font. While this invention has been described in connection with what are presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited
to the disclosed embodiments and the drawings, but, on the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and variations within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
