Definitions
- the present invention relates to communication technologies, and more particularly to a method, device and network for short-range communication. Background technique
- Wi reles s Per sona l Area Network (hereinafter referred to as WPAN).
- a WPAN can be constructed as two networks that communicate in different ways, one called a beacon network and the other called a non-beacon network.
- the beacon network is characterized by its strict communication protocol.
- the beacon acts as a synchronous network device, allowing the device to periodically sleep to save energy. The longer the beacon period, the more energy savings, and the beacon can pass. It is specified that the time slot sent and received by the device provides a certain delay guarantee.
- the beacon network may cause beacon conflict due to too many devices transmitting beacons, so that the device cannot receive the beacon correctly. In order to avoid beacon collisions, it is necessary to have possible conflicting beacons transmitted in different time slots within one beacon period. However, if the network equipment is too dense and the total length of beacons of all beacon transmitting devices has reached or approached the length of one beacon period, it is no longer possible to add new beaconing devices.
- the beacon of the device Because, regardless of which time slot the beacon of the device is scheduled to transmit in the beacon period, it will collide with the existing beacon. If the beacon period is extended, more new devices can be allowed to join, and the device can save more energy, but it will increase the response delay of the device. Therefore, the general beacon network form is difficult to use for large-scale networks or networks with high equipment density.
- the non-beacon network is characterized by simple communication procedures and no need for synchronization between devices.
- the standby and communication are relatively flexible, and it is easy to set up a large network, but it is not conducive to synchronous operation.
- the device needs to sleep and save energy, it consumes more energy than the beacon network.
- the embodiments of the present invention provide a short-distance communication method, device, and network, so that a beacon network and a non-beacon network can be simultaneously constructed in one WPAN.
- a short-range communication device includes a monitoring module, a transceiver module, and a demand processing module, wherein the monitoring module is configured to monitor a beacon sent by the beacon transmitting device in the wireless personal area network, and according to parameters included in the monitored beacon, Controlling the transceiver module, receiving information sent by the beacon transmitting device when it is required to receive information, and/or transmitting information to the beacon transmitting device when the information needs to be sent;

- Another short-range communication device includes a requesting module, a transceiver module, and a beacon module, wherein the requesting module is configured to directly transmit the transceiver module to the wireless personal area network when the short-range communication device is in a working state and needs to obtain information.
