Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Reaktor zur thermischen Behandlung eines Einsatzstoffes (1) zur Gewinnung eines Wasserstoff und/oder Kohlenwasserstoff beinhaltenden Gases (19) mit Mitteln (4; 34) zur Ausbildung einer Schüttung des Einsatzstoffes, Mitteln (10, 15; 31, 32, 40) zur Erhitzung des Einsatzstoffes in der Schüttung auf eine Temperatur, die innerhalb der gesamten Schüttung unterhalb der Schmelztemperatur des Einsatzstoffes liegt, sodass ein organischer Anteil des Einsatzstoffes in ein erstes Gas vergast wird, Mitteln (21) zur Abkühlung des Einsatzstoffes mit Hilfe von Wasser nach der Vergasung des organischen Anteils, sodass durch die Abkühlung des Einsatzstoffes Wasserdampf erzeugt wird und der Wasserdampf in einer Wassergasreaktion endotherm zu einem zweiten Gas reagiert, Mitteln (18) zur Abführung des zweiten Gases (19) aus dem Reaktor, wobei das erste Gas eine oder mehrere kohlenstoffhaltige Verbindungen beinhaltet und wobei das zweite Gas Wasserstoff und/oder Kohlenwasserstoff beinhaltet.
