Abstract
Systems and methods for utilizing linear optoelectronic sensors are provided. A plurality of linear sensors (525A, 525B) may be utilized to obtain velocity measurements of a web material (505) at two points. The acceleration of the web material (505) may be determined from the velocity measurements and a control signal issued to a servo (515) to maintain proper tension along the web material.
