Abstract

The invention relates to a steam strainer (10) having a sieve surface (12) of a substantially cylindrical or conical design (16) and having a plurality of sieve openings (14) for the radial pass-through of steam. In order to enable a comparably low flow resistance in such a steam strainer (10), the sieve surface (12) is corrugated according to the invention. As a result of the corrugation of the sieve surface (12), the area effectively available for straining the steam is enlarged, allowing the flow resistance to be reduced. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a steam strainer (10).
