Abstract

The pivoting bearing for a door relates to furniture fittings and can be used for hanging a door on the body of a metal wardrobe or safe. The pivoting bearing comprises a fastening element for fastening the bearing to a door leaf and is provided with an L-shaped rod mounted on said element. One arm of the rod is the axis of rotation and is hingedly inserted into a receiving opening in the body of a piece of furniture. The fastening element has a body with openings for the insertion of fastening screw elements that are to be fixed in the door leaf. The body of the fastening element has at least one projection with a seat for fixing the second arm of the L-shaped rod. The seat is preferably designed in the form of a shaped groove. Instead of an elongated projection, the body can have two projections each of which is provided with a shaped groove. The body is made of a polymer material and has an axisymmetric shape, thereby making it possible to use the pivoting bearing as a left or right door hinge. The pivoting bearing has a simple structural design and can be mounted on structures with painted elements. The pivoting bearing can be installed without the need for welding and does not require a highly skilled installer.
