Abstract
The invention relates to a vehicle chassis (3), comprising two inner side rails (6, 7) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and a first energy storage device suitable for powering an engine and placed in a first recess (8) laterally defined by the inner side rails (6, 7). According to the invention, the chassis (3) includes two outer side rails (4, 5) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are arranged on either side of the inner side rails (6, 7) and, in a second recess (9) defined by the outer side rails (4, 5), to the rear of the first recess (8), a second energy storage device which is suitable for powering the engine and/or in turn a portion of the engine unit.
