Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de déshydratation d'un courant riche en eau, le procédé comprenant l'acheminement d'un liquide à traiter vers au moins un adsorbeur régulé en température qui est en train de subir une adsorption, ledit ou lesdits adsorbeurs régulés en température étant dotés de passages d'écoulement pour l'adsorption contenant un revêtement de matière adsorbante et de passages d'écoulement pour le transfert de chaleur et la production d'un courant d'effluent déshydraté. Il peut y avoir au moins un adsorbeur régulé en température subissant un cycle de régénération et au moins un adsorbeur subissant un cycle d'échange de lit à lit. Le liquide à traiter est amené à passer dans les passages d'écoulement pour l'adsorption, où l'eau est adsorbée par le revêtement de matière adsorbante, et une chaleur d'adsorption est produite. La chaleur d'adsorption est éliminée par le passage d'un fluide de refroidissement dans les passages d'écoulement pour le transfert de chaleur. Le liquide à traiter peut être un liquide à traiter destiné à la production d'éthanol de qualité pour carburant automobile.
