Abstract

The invention relates to a process of producing a sintered metal ore, which process comprises sintering a feedstock comprising a metal ore, a fuel, water and optionally a flux in the presence of nanoparticles of a transition metal oxide or a rare earth metal oxide. Preferably the nanoparticles are in the form of an aqueous dispersion and added to the feedstock by spraying.
